2012 Academy Awards – Fashion Frenzy

The 84th Annual Academy Awards convened in Los Angeles this past Sunday and a fashion frenzy ensued. Almost everywhere you looked on the red carpet, there was a stunning look. The stars put their best foot forward last night and wowed TV viewers with their red carpet looks.

Gwenyth Paltrow looked absolutely chic in a white Tom Ford gown with a matching cape. Her entire look was chic and crisp.  The one shouldered dress was a perfect fit for her. Emma Stone took a risk and wore a brightly colored Giambattista Valli gown. The risk appears to have paid off, as she was one of the most talked about celebrities on the red carpet. Ellie Kemper wore a glitzy copper gown by Armani Prive. The color was perfection on her, as it complemented her skin tone.  Giuliana Rancic looked stellar in her Tony Ward couture gown.

Pharell Williams’ tuxedo by Lanvin displayed the epitome of a put together man. Rose Byrne took us the vintage route in a sequined Vivienne Westwood number. Johanna Johnson created a custom gown for Mya Rudolph and she looked amazing in the plum tone. Angelina kept the color of her Versace gown classic, but got daring with her thigh high split. Her beau Brad Pitt looked nice in his Tom Ford ensemble.

Milla Jovovich went with white and looked like a picture of beauty in her Elie Saab gown.  Jennifer Lopez literally sparkled in her Zuhair Murad gown.  Octavia Spencer stayed loyal and looked stunning in Tadashi Shoji.  His design complemented her in the best ways possible.  Shailene Woodley worked a beautiful, sleek, floor-length, long-sleeved dress by Valentino.

All of the celebs looked great last night. We haven’t seen a fashion night this big since last year’s Academy Awards, and it looks like we’ll probably have to wait another year to see another one.
