Village of Rochester hosts Spring fashion show

Innovative fashion designer Cynthia LaMaide is a leading lady in the fashion industry. As a fiber artist, fashion designer, and costume designer for films, music videos and photo shoots, she is well renowned from New York to Miami and right here in Metro Detroit.

On March 18, 2012, LaMaide will share her knowledge for design at the Village of Rochester Hills Fashion Show at the Royal Park Hotel, which will benefit the Women’s Fund of Rochester.

“There are exciting trends coming up this spring and we have an inspiring night planned,” said LaMaide, who is helping to produce the show. “It’s a significant event for a great cause and I’m honored to be a part of it.”

The fashion show will feature styles for men, women and children from Village of Rochester Hills stores including Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Buckle, Chico’s, Eddie Bauer, Francesca’s Collections, Talbots, Moosejaw, Parisian, Victoria’s Secret and White House/Black Market.

“Attending this fashion show is a perfect opportunity for ladies in our community to help other Oakland County women who are struggling,” said Peg Hamilton, who founded the Women’s Fund of Rochester in 2000. “Whether our grants provide free breast and cervical cancer screening for women who’ve lost their medical insurance, emergency assistance for victims of domestic assault, or education for teens on cyber-bullying, our efforts have a positive, lasting impact on our local community.”

Fashion show tickets are $45.00, which runs from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. VIP tickets are $60 and include a champagne and chocolate reception with fashion experts available for personal consultation from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold starting February 1, 2012 at Hepburn’s Crepe and Coffee in the Village of Rochester Hills.
